Hmm...I wonder what those wrapped bags are for? I bet it's something for me!!
I was right! A hammer and 'nails!' Just like dad!
Hope you're enjoying your holiday season as much as we have been. Keep warm by the fire and snuggle with those you love!

Cleaning Spree
We've had a 'task list' almost every day for the past week, and Lukka loves to join in. At first he was frightened of the vacuum, now he loves it--and he can get the teeny tiny dust spots that accumulate on the baseboards without breakin' his back like his mama! What a helpful little dude!

Ur Oma's Knit Hat and Teddy
The bug styling in his adorable new knit hat from Ur Oma (Great Grandma in Peachland, B.C) and holding his new teddy. Thanks Ur Oma!! (sorry about the jelly stains around the mouth :)

Little Picaso
He gets pretty intense into his finger-painting.
Check out that rad Elvis style cow-lick! Haha! I mean...what a great picture, Lu!

Mama's Little Helper
Lukka and Grandma making white-chocolate covered pretzels. Yum! This job was perfect for him because he got to "sprinkle" and then once he was done with one set, picked up a dry set and put them into the bowl--what a fun christmas project to do with little hands!
Doctor Lukka--one of his favorite toys is his doctor kits. Most seen patient: Arjax.
The bug and I holding up his finished product (can you see that "Get-away-from-me-mom-you're-embarassing-me" look already? or is that just me!)

Uh-Oh
Lukka was being very quiet in his crib the other morning...so much so that I thought he had fallen back asleep...nope, I come in to a nearly-naked baby! Good thing he didn't start on the diaper because that would have been a BIG mess! That big smile was just the beginning of a fit of giggles from him!

Reader Review: T is for Tugboat by Chronicle Books
"Navigating the Seas from A to Z" --what a cute little book. I love the ocean and all things nautical, and this book is just the right amount of educational and artistic. The pictures in this alphabet book are a melding of drawings, photography, paintings and real-life objects, much as a scrapbook would look. It even has two pages of how to tie different sailors' knots!
A great book for the little pirate in your family!

New Bug Pictures
One of our favorite things to do is play in the bathtub--I don't think I'll ever be able to capture water droplets like that again!
LuBear was kind of a crank this week---if you notice he has his teether in his mouth--4 new teeth! The sweater was a present for Ur Oma (Great Grandma) who lives out in Peachland, British Columbia. So cute!
A sneak peak at his Halloween costume! $2 at a garage sale is pretty good for a cuddly, warm, puppy dog outfit!

Potato Head
I have been having trouble knowing what to do for this little rambunctious guy when its raining outside, as he gets bored with everything in under 2 seconds (he is a Mast boy, after all). One thing, that I've found, is he loves playing with Mr. Potato Head because he is great at putting the little pieces into the holes! The day I cought him with this was over 1/2 hour sitting down playing with one thing! Another fun thing that Oma gave him not to long ago that he really likes is playing with playdough...but not necessarily playing wtih it...but breaking it into about 5 pieces, and putting them one by one, by into the container, closing the container, opening it up...and repeat!

His Own Meal
A few weeks ago, Lukka got to enjoy for the first time, his "own" meal. We go out to a restuaraunt about once or twice a month, and this time, I persuaded Stefan to get Lukka his own (I didn't want to share my mashed potatoes!). He ate almost the entire meal! Half of his grilled cheese, all of his orange slices, and drank over half of his milk! Sure is a growin' squirt! Now we actually have to pay attention to "Kids eat free" nights when we go out!

AppleJack Festival
Even Lukka had a few bites and loved the idea of eating food off a stick. I have a feeling he will be just like his momma, a lover of all things festival.

Buggy's Got a Brand New Bag
See that Veggie Tales bag? I bought it at the NeatRepeatz sale yesterday for a few dollars, and now he won't be seen without it on! I love this whole, "I'm gonna start to carry my own weight around here, thing"! *(i.e. HE now carries his diapers, wipes, and snack!)*

The Short Pants
Perhaps you can't see them in all their glory, but these pants are 6-12 mo pants (Lukka is now bordering on his 15th month!) and they still fit around the waist...so... highwaters it is! They are a good 2 inches above the ground.

Sneaky Little Hobbit
Is always getting into something! Too bad he just knows how to take the clean clothes out, not fold them up and put away!

Sleepy Boy
Trying on next season's clothes to see if they fit, here's a funny mugshot from the Bug. He looks haggard, no? Those jammies say 2T, luckily I noticed them at the bottom of the pile--they and the other T the Train set he got from his Aunty Krissy will probably only fit for 6 more months!
